Let’s cut the nice talk. Trump is moving like a fascist dictator, and too many folks are watching it happen as if it’s just politics as usual. It’s not. This is deeper. While the media keeps us distracted with smoke and mirrors, the Epstein files sit in plain sight. Trump and his crew are gutting education and rewriting history right under our noses.
This isn’t just about classrooms and textbooks. This is about survival. When you erase a people’s history, you erase their power. When you defund schools, colleges, and cultural institutions, you control the future of who gets to learn, who gets to rise, and who gets left behind.
The Attack on Education: Receipts Don’t Lie
Let’s talk about what’s really happening in real time:
Public schools are under attack. Budgets are slashed, resources stripped, and teachers are leaving in droves. You think it’s bad now? Imagine what happens when your kids’ schools can’t afford books, counselors, or afterschool programs.
History is being rewritten. From Florida to Texas, textbooks are being “edited” to erase slavery, minimize Jim Crow, and reframe colonizers as “heroes.” Black history and ethnic studies are being banned. Black authors are removed from classrooms, and teachers are punished for telling the truth.
Museums and cultural institutions are next. Federal funding is being shifted away from spaces that highlight anything other than white American “triumphs.” Art that speaks to our truths? Exhibits on Indigenous, Latino, Asian, and Black culture? They’re cutting it. When culture is erased, propaganda fills the void.
Colleges and higher education on the chopping block. Programs in African American studies, gender studies, and immigrant justice are being defunded or targeted. Meanwhile, student debt relief is frozen, leaving more Black and brown students locked out of opportunity.
This is not an accident. This is a coordinated campaign to strip power from anyone who doesn’t fit into their “white America first” vision.

Why Black Communities Are Hit Hardest
Yes, all Americans are impacted when education is gutted. But let’s be real: Black and brown communities always get hit the hardest.
When schools in our neighborhoods lose funding, our kids feel it first. When history books erase us, our children grow up believing they never mattered. When colleges cut programs that highlight our stories, entire generations lose access to truth, pride, and the tools to push forward.
They want us silenced. They want us erased. They want us stuck in the same cycles of poverty, prisons, and powerlessness.
This isn’t just about erasing history. This is about erasing futures.
This Is the Fascist Playbook: We’ve Seen It Before
Let’s stop pretending this is new. We’ve seen this movie before. Germany in the 1930s. Hitler didn’t just wake up one day and start a genocide. He started with education. He banned books, censored teachers, burned art, rewrote history, and convinced an entire country that erasing certain people was necessary. Sound familiar?
When Trump centralizes control, bans DEI, guts schools, and pushes “patriotic” whitewashed education, he’s not doing it for efficiency. He’s following a fascist playbook that ends with violence. If you think “it can’t happen here,” you’re already asleep.
The Diversion: Epstein Files & Power Plays
Why now? Why push all of this so hard? Because he needs the chaos. He needs distractions. The Epstein files have his name all over them—pictures, court documents, connections. He can’t erase the truth, so he buries it under culture wars.
If we’re busy fighting over school books, what kids can read, and museums closing, then we’re not asking the real question: Who’s protecting predators in power?
He’s protecting himself. He’s willing to take the whole country down with him.

The Call to Us: Fighting Back
We don’t have the luxury of sitting this one out. Germany showed us what happens when people stay silent. Whole nations fall asleep, and whole communities are wiped out. But we know better. Because we know better, we have to do better.
1. With Our Money
Fund Black-owned schools, museums, and education programs. Support independent publishers. Buy from Black bookstores and cultural spaces. If they defund our history, we keep it alive ourselves.
2. With Our Voices
Show up to school board meetings, city council, and PTA. Don’t let them slide lies into our children’s classrooms without resistance.
3. With Our Force
Not violence, but power—voting, organizing, protecting our communities, and refusing to let propaganda become law.
Closing Word: The Time Is Now
Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about politics. This is about survival. Trump and his people are moving like fascists, rewriting America to erase anyone who doesn’t fit their mold. But Black people? We’ve fought back before, and we’ll do it again.
Because they can try to erase us, but they’ll never succeed. Our history lives in us. Our futures belong to us. If we have to fight to make sure our children know the truth, then so be it.
🖤 The time is now. Stay awake, stay loud, and stay ready.
